CHRISTMAS CELEBRATED IN ICSK JUNIOR


It's Santa Claus and Jingle bells all over in Indian Community School Kuwait, Junior Branch. Christmas is the time to cherish peace and goodwill. It is said that 'Christmas is a state of mind.' It is not only during Christmas but throughout the year that the spirit of Christmas should stay. ICSK Junior Branch has never ever skipped a chance in celebrating any of the Indian festivals, nor in sending across the message and values behind any festival. The message of Christmas too was shared very well by enthusiastic primary branch. Colorful handmade Christmas motifs adorned the class-rooms vibrating the message of season's greetings.



To accommodate all students', special assembly was conducted in two segments on Wednesday 24th December, 2014. Students addressed the audience in crisp diction, fine sound modulation on the highlight in Christmas celebration across the globe.

'Santa Claus is coming to town', 'Silent Night' and host of carols rendered by a large coordinated choir group; in perfect harmony, under the auspice of teachers in charge; added real Christmas joy to the fabulous assembly.



The assembly was delightful and colorful, so much so that each child present in the courtyard became part of the festive season. The skit was enacted to perfection with angels and shepherds appearing to Mother Mary and Joseph in a manger where baby Jesus was born; wise men leading to the manger proclaiming birth of Jesus. This was followed by a song 'Jingle Bell Rock' and a thematic dance 'Santa and his reindeer'.



In the midst of decoration on display boards, colorful Christmas tree, charming children decked up in their best attire true essence of Christmas spirit ushered in the premise. The air was charged and the atmosphere electric, as the courtyard echoed with pleasantries, laughter, mirth, mesmerizing, packed with symphony of carols and dance.

Entry of the Santa Claus on stage with bag full of gifts and sweets singing and dancing with Santa symbolic of Christmas festivity enamored the audience. The whole school turned into a jubilant mood.



Principal Mrs. Sherly Dennis, in her address, conveyed the message that "Christmas is Love in Action - Act of Giving, Sharing and Loving." She appreciated the entire program that was interspersed with melodious Carols, giving it a musical lilt and the entry of Santa Claus jingling along and throwing the young ones gathered into a mood of joyous merriment and euphoria.



The finale of the day was message of humility, peace, love, non-violence and brotherhood given by the Principal, extending wishes for a blessed festival and a prosperous New Year to children and parents.

The assembly dispersed after the Indian National Anthem.
