ICSK JUNIOR BEGINS NEW ACADEMIC YEAR WITH 'SATRARAMBH'

In the second week of April, students of the Indian Community School Kuwait Junior commenced the new academic year 2015-2016 with special 'Satrarambh' assemblies. Satrarambh, literally meaning Satra (year) + Aarambh (starting), is the significant day that marks the beginning of the New Year.

To accommodate all students, special assemblies were planned and executed in segments.Every year a decorative auspicious lamp is lit by the Principal in-charge, the Vice-Principal, Supervisors, the academic Heads of department and class representatives to lead with more strength, conviction and sincerity.

Melodious group songs 'Hum Ko Man Ki Shakti Dena' and 'IshwarHumko Do Vardaan' were sung in chorus to call upon the Supreme power to impart knowledge and wisdom to all. Vibrant serene dances and meaningful skit reminding students on the correct usage of body language as incorporated in pupils' dairy echoed the theme of the special assemblies.

Principal In-charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis in her address told students to be diligent and emphasized on the importance of maintaining a balance between health and studies. She further stressed upon the need to follow the proven formula of perfection, punctuality and physical fitness. She extended her best wishes to everybody for a stimulating and productive year, asked children to remain happy with a smile.

Children thus joined the new academic session among cries of joy and greeting each other "HAPPY SATRARAMBH"!
