The air was full of patriotic fervour as the enthusiastic students of Icsk Junior celebrated 68th Republic day of India with assemblies reflecting the theme on 23and 24th of January 2017. The corridors and class rooms were decorated to ring in the festive spirit.

Assemblies began with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran followed by the school prayer. The tri-colour was hoisted by the principal in charge Mrs.Sherly Dennis and the students took the pledge in honour of our incredible country. Thought for the day depicted the importance of this day.

The tiny tots from KG performed a wonderful dance praising the Mother land, followed by a speech reminding citizens about our duties towards our country. A patriotic song which followed the dance highlighted the unique features of our land and how proud we are to be called Indians.

A street play was performed depicting the value of fundamental duties and fundamental rights of Indian citizens. A wonderful dance performance to the foot tapping dance numbers was the highlight of the show.

Principal, Mrs.Sherly Dennis addressed the assembly and asked some questions about our constitution. Master Arjun received loud cheers as he said the complete preamble of the constitution without any errors.

The prizes for the winners CCA Competitions for the month of January were given after which the assembly was dispersed with the singing of Indian National Anthem.
