UNCOMPROMISING DRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE @ ICSK



The Indian Community School, Kuwait acknowledged through awards and mementos the academic achievement of its meritorious students of both AISSCE and AISSE (classes XII & X) Exams conducted in March, 2016.

It was a matter of great pride honouring 137 students as subject toppers for various streams. The students brought laurels to the school by giving cent percent results in all the three streams; Science, Commerce and Humanities and with a centum in Psychology. Out of 288 students who appeared for the exam 99.65% of the students secured First Class.

Commencing from the Commerce Stream Kaushik adorned the honour board being the Kuwait Topper with 95.80%. The other shimmering stars of Commerce Stream are Jerrin Jose with 95.4% and Ansu Joseph with 95%; they have also secured the 2nd & 3rd position in Kuwait toppers. In the Science Stream Shebin Thomas John brought laurels to ICSK with the top score of 97.4%. Adding splendour to Class XII Board performance, Anand Suresh Nair topped the Humanities Stream with a commendable 88.8%. ICSK has the glory of creating 11 subject toppers in Kuwait. This year too ICSK Class X students had passed out with flying colours thereby bringing immeasurable joy to the school. 70 students have scored CGPA 10 with A1 Grade.

The award ceremony commenced with the Islamic Prayer followed by the National Anthems of both Kuwait and India. The Principal & Senior Administrator of the Indian Community School, Kuwait welcomed the eminent personalities which comprised of the honourable members of the Board of Trustees, Principals, Vice Principals of the other branches and the delighted parents .

Prof. Joseph Fiannaca, Head of the Department - French, American University of Kuwait was the Chief Guest on this occasion. He praised the invincible spirit and enthusiasm of the toppers and urged them to work hard and outshine in the years to come.

The CBSE Gulf Council honoured ICSK with the Best School Award for the year 2016-17.The best performers of the school were also awarded by the CBSE Gulf Council with mementos and certificates to acknowledge their achievements. These special awards were distributed by the Chief Guest.

Students who scored 10CGPA in standard tenth at ICSK were awarded with mementos. 61 mementos were given away to 12th standard students who were Kuwait Toppers, Subject Toppers and ICSK Toppers and to the students who scored 90% and above. Adding grandeur to the occasion 137 mementoes and certificates were given away.

The students received certificates and mementos as a token of appreciation for their tireless effort. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Binu Jacob , programme co-ordinator.

The astounding results reflect the determination, persistence and endurance of the students and the faculty with the bountiful and generous support of the management. Highly competent faculty and excellent infrastructure facilities coupled with remedial classes for under achievers and special attention to the bright students have made this success possible. Reciting the hymns of success, ICSK resumes its journey, to gleam again with meritorious victories in the field of education. The ICSK management, staff and students congratulate the achievers of ICSK for their spectacular performance .
