The Indian Community School, Kuwait, Amman celebrated Teachers' Day as Self Governance Day on Thursday 26th October, 2017 to pay tribute to all their teachers. This day is observed to commemorate the birthday of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, philosopher and the second President of India. The school senate and the Class X students shouldered the responsibility to run the school for this day. School senate President Bhavana Sara John took charge as Principal and Noah Mathew Kingson as Vice Principal. As per the time table, the student teachers' of Class X engaged the Classes from KG to IX.
The special assembly organized and conducted by the school senate was amazing and well planned with graceful dance performances, melodious music and games. It was well appreciated as it included performances from tiny tots to high school students. Our teachers added colour to the programme with their sportive participation.
On this day the teachers acted as the "Green Ambassadors" carrying the little saplings presented to them as a "Token of Love" by the students, on their way home to the different parts of Kuwait. Principal Mr. Rajesh Nair appreciated the senate for executing this responsibility in a meticulous manner during the day. It was a fabulous and grand feast for the entire school as a grand celebration of "Teachers Day"
The Indian Community School was established on the 5th May, 1959. The school, since its inception, has been rendering yeoman service to the Indian Diaspora by providing excellent education exclusively for Indian children.
