ICSK STUDENTS IN SCIENCE FESTIVAL 'SHAASTROTSAV'


The students of the Indian Community School Kuwait have performed commendably in the popular science and technology event "Shaastrotsav" - Festival of Science which was held on Friday, 26th April, 2013 at the Salmiya Indian Model School Kuwait. The event, organized by NSS College of Engineering Alumni (Kuwait Chapter) in association with the Institution of Engineers (India) Kuwait Chapter, saw the participation of more than 400 students from various schools of Kuwait in different activities conducted during the day.


Following are the winners of ICSK in various competition categories:



INTERSCHOOL SCIENCE PROJECT - SENIOR CATEGORY
Second prize: ICSK, Senior Branch - Agam Deep Singh Dogra, Akhil Nambiar, Ali Zakir Thakur for the project 'Arduino Based obstacle avoiding Robot'.



INTERSCHOOL SCIENCE PROJECT - JUNIOR CATEGORY
First prize: ICSK Amman Street - Lakshmi Thampachen, Rintu Mary Roy, Rachel Minu Shyla for the project 'Solar Powered Train'.



INTERSCHOOL SCIENCE PROJECT- SUB JUNIOR CATEGORY
Third prize: ICSK, Junior Branch, Salmiya - Vyshak Vinod Nair, Joel Anto, Advait Vinod for their project titled "Self sustained village with renewable sources".


RUBIK'S CUBE SOLVING CONTEST:
First prize: Melvin Varughese Thottungal (25.19 seconds) of ICSK Senior.



COMPUTER ANIMATION CONTEST WINNERS
Heba Hanna Philip of ICSK Amman Branch.


SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY QUIZ
Second prize: ICSK, Senior Branch, Salmiya team comprising Sharan Sunil Kumar Yadav and Diya Ann Varghese.


The team from ICSK, Senior Branch also bagged the cash award for most popular science project selected by visitor's voting. The management and staff are immensely proud of the young scientific brains of the ICSK.
