What better way could there be for the tiny tots to express their love, respect and gratitude towards them than on a day specially dedicated to their most favourite people, the Grandparents?
On October 5th, 2017, ICSK Junior celebrated Grand Parent's day. Grand Parents play an important role in the life of every child.
The Grand Parent's Day celebrated by the school aims to teach the students about irreplaceable role the grandparents play in their lives.
The event began with the Islamic prayer followed by a welcome song by the UKG children. The children paid tribute to their Grand Parents by singing and dancing. The soulful songs and dances presented by the children made for a complete entertaining day.
Vice Principal, Sheeja Ma'am welcomed the gathering. Principal -Ms Sherly Dennis in her keynote address justified the role of grandparents as foot steps to the future generation. She expressed that children need grandparents to grow securely into an unfamiliar world.
The atmosphere livened up when the elderly took part in the Games arranged especially arranged for them. The winners were happy to receive prizes. Grandparents fondly posed for a group photo.
KG Supervisor Mrs. Shafika Yunus, delivered heartiest vote of thanks acknowledging the presence of grandparents and their positive influence in a child's life.
Everyone seemed truly happy. It was a very successful event, indeed and we look forward to many more.
