The farewell and blessing ceremony "AMANTRYA" was organized on Thursday, 22nd February 2018 to bid a warm farewell to the outgoing students of Class X of The Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman.
It was a unique farewell as students from classes VI to IX joined hands in organizing the cultural show. Teachers who taught the outgoing students during their KG, Primary and Middle School days were also present on the occasion to bless them.
The auspicious occasion began with the lighting of the lamp and an invocation dance. The Senate Advisor Mrs. Jaya Nirmal welcomed the gathering. The Senate President Ms. Bhavna John shared the reminiscences of her days in alma mater.
Principal Mr. Rajesh Nair addressed the outgoing students and cherished his association with them and wished them a very bright and successful future.
On behalf of all the staff, KG supervisor Mrs. Julie Anthony and Class IX & X supervisor Mrs. Sumitra Nandakumar addressed the students. As a token of love and appreciation a memento was also presented to them by the school.
We intend to work closely with parents and carers to make sure each child is supported and prepared for the next stage in life.
Vice President of the Senate Noah Mathew Kingson proposed the vote of thanks.
The solemn function culminated with the blessing ceremony. Vice Principal Dr.Mary Isaac briefed the students about the significance of the ceremony which was followed by the staff members forming the corridor of blessings as the choir rendered the time honoured “Showers of Blessings” and the outgoing students seeking the blessings of the Principal and all their teachers.
The Indian Community School was established on the 5th May, 1959. The school, since its inception, has been rendering yeoman service to the Indian Diaspora by providing excellent education exclusively for Indian children.
