‘Hidden Talents When Realized and Revealed can Surprise the World.’
The Indian Community School, Senior rolled out a carpet of welcome for the budding talents of the ICSK family on the ceremonial occasion of Arts Fest - Paradigm 2023 on 17th and 18th May 2023. The inaugural ceremony on 17th May 2023 witnessed a SEA of talents and the excitement was palpable. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest H.E. Dr. Manelisi Genge, Hon. Ambassador of South Africa to Kuwait and Guest of Honour, Ms. Jana Khaldoun Alnaqeeb, Public Relation & Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Kuwait Times. Among the dignitaries were Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Gangadhar Shirsath, Principal of ICSK Khaitan, Mr. Rajesh Nair, Principal of ICSK Amman, whose august presence enlivened the spirits of the young artists.
The celebration began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by a prayer song creating a divine atmosphere, seeking the blessings of the Almighty. The gathering paid tribute to the nations by honouring the National Anthem of Kuwait followed by Indian National Anthem. Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK presented a cordial welcome to the audience. He motivated the students to identify, nurture and develop their artistic ambitions.
Nritya Samarpan, Department of Bharatnatyam welcomed the audience with an enthralling classical dance, a replication of India’s rich culture. The event was formally inaugurated with the lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest H.E. Dr. Manelisi Genge and Guest of Honour, Ms. Jana Khaldoun Alnaqeeb accompanied by Hon. Chairman Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman & Dr. V. Binumon.
H.E. Dr. Manelisi Genge inspired the future leaders with his words of wisdom and appreciated the artists and the teachers for their remarkable contributions. Ms. Jana Khaldoun Alnaqeeb, in her address encouraged the young minds to keep exploring creative ideas and master the talents they have.
Ruth Ann Toby, budding talent of ICSK enchanted the audience with her melodious voice. True to the theme, the vivacious dancers and versatile musicians of ICSK set the floor on fire with their energetic performances and this was a reflection of their passion and hard work. Vote of Thanks presented by Mrs. Susan Rajesh, Vice Principal of ICSK Senior drew curtain to the inaugural ceremony and stated the commencement of the competitions.
The 2 – day annual arts festival witnessed a plethora of mesmerizing onstage and offstage performances simultaneously run on 3 different stages with more than 1300 students competing in 71 varied events. The literary genius of ICSK, through their vivid imagination and love for words transported the readers to their inner world in the Essay & Story Writing Competition. Extempore showcased the oratory skills of the geniuses. The master chefs of the school competed in the salad making competition. The budding artists brought alive their creativity and talents in Drawing, Painting, Clay Modelling & Jewellery Making, Teaser and Digital Card Making Competitions.
The closing day awestruck the audiences with the marvellous rendition of the talents in various competitions like folk and classical dances, songs, instrumental and band competitions, fashion show and standup comedy.

The institution welcomed the dignitaries, parents and the emerging talents of ICSK with open arms for the Valedictory Ceremony on 18th May 2023. Hon. Ambassador of Indonesia to Kuwait, H.E Ms. Lena Maryana was the Chief Guest of the day and Dr. Radhakrishna, Chief Pulmonologist, Ministry of Health, Kuwait graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
Among the dignitaries were Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Amer Mohammad, Hon. Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Vinukumar Nair, Hon. Vice Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mrs. Shirley Dennis, Director and Principal of ISEK, Mrs. C Sheeja, Principal ICSK Junior, Mr. Rajesh Nair, Principal ICSK Amman and Dr. Mary Issac, Vice Principal ICSK Amman.

A video presentation encapsulating the strenuous efforts and excitement of the students and staff for Paradigm 2023 cheered the audience.
The esteemed Chief Guest, H.E Ms. Lena Maryana enunciated about the deep cultural bond between India, Indonesia and Kuwait, thereby inspiring young minds to become potential leaders and bridge connectivity among the nations. Dr. Mohammed Basil, Alumni 2017 Batch, in his address shared the fond memories of his school life. Ms. Athira Raviprasad, Alumni 2018 Batch and Ms. Anjana Raviprasad, Alumni 2022 Batch captivated the audience with the riveting classical dance. A wide range of cultural programmes including energetic fusion dances, trendsetting fashion show, spellbinding songs and orchestra elated the audience.
The Prize distribution Ceremony honoured the students for their efforts, dedication and confidence. More than 200 students bagged medals and trophies for different positions including Kalathilak and Kalaprathibha, recognizing the students who secured maximum points individually in each category. In Catergory 3, Samnyu Kumaran of Class 7B was conferred the title Kalaprathibha and Sheza Khan of class 8C was awarded the title Kalathilak. In Category 4, Hevan Sam Shine of class 9E, bagged the title Kalaprathibha and Miriam Alphonsa George of class 9A secured the title Kalathilak. In Category 5, Isaam Thalhath of class 11C was conferred the title Kalaprathibha and Aabida Rafik Chikte of class 11 C was awarded the title Kalathilak. House points were awarded based on the overall score and the LEADERS house bagged the first position followed by the ACHIEVERS house. The students and the house mentors were honoured with the House trophy. The enthusiastic children and their proud parents rejoiced in victory and success.
The two-day celebration of talent truly gave our students a chance to delve deep and channel their passion and motivation to build their future. The fun-filled extravaganza culminated with the vote of thanks presented by Mr. Anthony Austin, Chief Coordinator, Paradigm 2023.
