ICSK Khaitan believes in inculcating democratic values among its students. In order to give them the practice of democratic procedure of election and develop leadership qualities and imbibe a sense of responsibility, the school conducts election for students representative every year, and the Investiture Ceremony is organised to invest these leaders to officially bestow responsibilities upon them to discharge their duties as student leaders for the entire academic year.
This year this most ceremonial function was organised on 4th May to formally acknowledge the mantle of leadership donned by the School Senate for the academic year 2023-24 for CBSE and IGCSE sections. The Chief Guest, Mr Muath Al Rashdi, Founder of Shooting Masters Academy Kuwait and an international shooting champion in clay sporting, was given a reverential salute and guard of honour by the Core Senate Members, Captains and Vice Captains of various houses. The throbbing march past of the young leaders reverberated throughout the whole campus.
The magnificent ceremony commenced with the recitation of the verse from the Holy Quran, and it was followed by the national anthems of Kuwait and India. Ms Sharanya Devi, Senior Secondary Supervisor, introduced the Chief Guest with a short video snippet highlighting the great personality and achievements of the shooting maestro. The lighting of the lamp was done conjointly by Mr. Muath Al Rashdi and Mr. K Gangadhar Shirsath, Principal, ICSK, Khaitan. The gracious dancers of the school made the occasion auspicious with a divine invocation dance. Mr Shirsath congenially welcomed the August gathering and spoke elaborately on the importance of being an inclusive leader with a selfless mission.
