The Indian Community School, Senior proudly hosted Anugrah 2025 – Blessing Ceremony, dedicated to the outgoing Class X students on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025. The occasion thoughtfully organized for the very first time at ICSK, honored and bid farewell to the outgoing batch of Class X. The event, a beautiful amalgamation of prayers, well wishes and encouragement, brought together an esteemed gathering that included dignitaries, parents, teachers, staff members and students, all united to celebrate the remarkable journey of 222 young achievers as they prepared to step into the next exciting phase of their lives.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest Dr. Manaf Behbehani, Marine Scientist and Environmental Expert and the Guest of Honour, Dr. Prashant Vasudev, Principal of Gulf Indian School. The auditorium, adorned with twinkling lights and vivid colors, radiated an aura of happiness and serenity, setting a perfect tone for the occasion. The day commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Ms. Amal Thanveer Khot, invoking divine blessings followed by Aaradhana, a soulful rendition by the school choir. The gathering honored the national anthems of Kuwait and India.
Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, parents, staff and students. In his address, he showered blessings upon the students, urging them to dream big and work tirelessly toward their goals. He highlighted the importance of setting clear objectives, maintaining a positive mindset, fostering curiosity and prioritizing physical and mental well-being. His words inspired the students to approach life with determination and resilience.
The esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Manaf Behbehani and Guest of Honor Dr. Prashant Vasudev accompanied by Dr. V. Binumon formally inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp of knowledge signifying great intellectual and spiritual energy.
A heartwarming video showcasing the journey of the students was then played, capturing the cherished moments shared by the them during their time at ICSK. It evoked a sense of nostalgia and gratitude among the students, parents and teachers, reminding them of the bonds shared and the milestones achieved together.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Manaf Behbehani, in his address, expressed his delight at being part of such a significant occasion. He encouraged the students to embrace life’s opportunities with determination and optimism, emphasizing that nothing is impossible with hard work and perseverance. He also highlighted the pivotal role of parents in shaping their children’s lives, urging the students to always seek their blessings. As a token of gratitude, Dr. V. Binumon presented Dr. Manaf Behbehani with a memento for his valuable presence and inspiring words.
The Guest of Honor, Dr. Prashant Vasudev extended his congratulations to the students on reaching the important milestone. He advised them to lead compassionate and empathetic lives, embracing leadership roles to contribute to a better tomorrow. Dr. Prashant Vasudev commended the efforts of parents and teachers in moulding the students into confident and capable individuals. He was presented with a memento by Dr. V. Binumon as a gesture of appreciation.
The event continued with the recognition of academic excellence. Students who performed exceptionally well in academics were honored with certificates. Among the top achievers, Mst. Huzaifa Mustafa Shafique bagged the first position followed by Mst. Adithya Kuruvikkattu Ajayraj in the second position and Mst. Aniruddh Vimal secured the third position. Subject toppers were also acknowledged, with Mst. Aniruddh Vimal excelling in English, Mathematics, and Science; Ms. Mariya Aziz Husain Abbas Ali in Hindi; Ms. Ruby Susan Tony in French; Mst. Huzaifa Mustafa Shafique in Social Science; and Ms. Chelsea Crasta and Ms. Anne Susan Vineeth in Artificial Intelligence.
Ms. Andria Alphonsa Shiju, Ms. Chelsea Crasta, Mst. Praveen Velmurugan, Ms. Theresa Tenson, Mst. Aniruddh Vimal, Mst. Ibrahim Amanullah Yelukar, Ms. Nandika Suresh Babu, Mst. Samuel Charles Mathews, Ms. Fareeha Faisal Mustafa, Ms. Vrishya Amit Kunjumon, Mst. Ibrahim Faisal Ghulam Rabbani and Ms. Juhi Sri Molleti were honored with certificates for demonstrating unwavering dedication through 100% attendance.
Ms. Jennifer Mariam George of X A, Ms. Anne Susan Vineeth of X B, Mst. Samuel Charles Mathews of 10 C, Liya Johny of 10 D and Riona Aranha of 10 E presented a medley of magical memories that marked their years spent in school, giving the audience a fascinating flashback of their journey. The day filled with mixed emotions left an indelible imprint in the hearts of the gathering.
The young pillars of ICSK, all set to embark their journey to build their own empire of dreams and vision were presented with mementos by the dignitaries. Mrs. Marie Syril Trina, Chief Coordinator of Anugrah 2025 thanked the ICSK Family for their contribution in making the event successful.
The blooming buds of ICSK illuminated the glorious day with their enchanting motivational song, seeking the Almighty's blessings. Dr. V. Binumon led the symbolic candle-lighting ceremony. Each participant lit a candle, signifying hope, grace and success. The entire auditorium sparkled with the glow of lamps. The gathering joined in harmonious prayers, seeking blessings for the students' success, health and happiness.
Mrs. Mini Shaji Joseph, Deputy Vice Principal administered an exhortation, emphasizing the importance of preserving values and spreading the light of knowledge globally. Her words resonated deeply, inspiring the students to uphold the principles of empathy, resilience and lifelong learning. The event concluded with a delightful lunch, allowing the ICSK family to share moments of joy and togetherness.
