The Indian Community School, Senior hosted an Orientation Programme tailored for Grade XI parents and students in Science, Commerce, and Humanities on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Divided into two sessions, the event held in the school auditorium featured a comprehensive agenda to provide insights into the school program and initiatives. The primary objective was to inform parents and students about academic aspects, institute regulations, and encourage parental involvement in monitoring student progress.
The session began with recitation of verses from the holy Quran and a prayer song performed by the school choir. Mrs. Susan Rajesh, Vice Principal of ICSK Senior and Mrs. Mini Shaji, Deputy Vice Principal of ICSK Senior warmly welcomed the attendees. Class teachers and subject teachers were welcomed with enthusiastic applause during the introduction session. Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK, led the orientation, extending a hearty welcome to students for the new academic year. In his address, Dr. Binumon emphasized the importance of continuous learning and highlighted the crucial role of parental and teachers’ involvement in holistic development of the students.
Parents were briefed on various confidence-building and leadership development activities conducted throughout the academic year. The presentation covered topics such as study strategies, examination patterns, curricular, and co-curricular activities. Dr. V. Binumon motivated the students to take ownership of their actions, providing valuable study tips and emphasizing the significance of positivity, perseverance, progress, passion and proactiveness in achieving success.
The orientation session for Commerce and Humanities stream concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Ratnachira, Academic Supervisor. Mrs. Manu Ann Varghese, Academic Supervisor of Secondary Section drew curtains to the orientation programme for the Science stream by proposing vote of thanks.
The session concluded successfully, leaving participants with a deeper understanding of school policies and a strengthened sense of community. It reflected ICSKS's commitment to nurturing an inclusive and well-informed educational environment.
