CBSE, Lifology in collaboration with United Indian School, Kuwait hosted Career Guidance Festival at Aspire Indian International School, Kuwait on November 8, 2024. The event aimed to provide students with exposure to diverse career opportunities, insights into emerging trends and the chance to engage with industry experts. It was designed to empower students with knowledge and guidance for informed career decisions. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Muluka, Deputy Chief of Mission graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. 46 students of the Indian Community School, Kuwait escorted by the teachers attended the festival.
The program commenced with recitation of verses from the holy Quran followed by the Kuwait National Anthem. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Radhakrishnan C., Principal of United Indian School, followed by a cultural welcome dance. A ceremonial lighting of the lamp was led by dignitaries.
Dr. Biswajit Saha, CBSE Director (Training & Skill Education), introduced the event’s theme, setting the tone for the day. Dr. Tessy Thomas, a keynote speaker, captivated the audience with her presentation, "The Magic of Science: How Curiosity Shapes the Future.
Dr. Tessy Thomas shared her inspiring journey, including her collaboration with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and her role in the Agni-IV rocket project. She emphasized resilience, problem-solving, and the transformative role of nanotechnology in modern careers. Dr. Thomas also encouraged bridging generational gaps for a harmonious work environment.
Mr. Rahul J Nair shed light on the concept of meaningful careers, the evolving impact of AI, and the importance of aligning career choices with personal fulfillment. Mr. Rahul Eashwar, using reverse psychology, highlighted common pitfalls to avoid during teenage years and emphasized the role of skills in achieving success.
A significant highlight of the event was the career stalls set up by Aspire Indian International School. These stalls offered students and teachers the opportunity to explore various career paths, engage with experts and seek advice tailored to their interests.
The students of ICSK actively participated in the event. They explored robotics displays organized by Lifology, showcasing the career potential in this field. Their enthusiastic involvement in the question - answer session highlighted their engagement and curiosity. The event succeeded in offering both inspiration and practical career insights.
